WASA is considered among the top professional administrative organizations in the country. With over 1,600 members, membership is open to all educational administrators in central office, building management and educational agency positions. WASA's strength is determined by its membership.

There are four membership types:

Active Members
Those currently serving as full or part-time school administrators. Dues are based on three-quarters of one percent of the previous year's salary. Active WASA members receive all association services including voting privileges. Eligible active members may call WASA to determine the cost of their membership.

Associate Members top
Higher education faculty, out-of-state administrators and employees of professional associations. Dues are $175 per year. Associate members receive WASA publications and may attend conferences and workshops at the member rate. Associate members have no voting privileges.

Retire/Rehire Members top
Retirees who rehire to full or part-time service receive all benefits including voting privileges. Dues are calculated at three-quarters of one percent of the current year's salary.

Retired/Life Members top
Retirees with previous service in Washington state. Dues are a one-time fee of $125 for a life membership. Life members receive WASA publications and may attend WASA conferences and workshops at no charge (except meals). The Association encourages eligible individuals to take advantage of this opportunity to network with others and stay involved in educational issues. Retired/Life members have no voting privileges.

Student/Intern Members top
Those preparing for administrative careers. Dues are $70 per year. Student/Intern members receive WASA publications and may attend WASA events at a cost of one half the registration fee. Student/Intern members have no voting privileges.
