WASA is considered among the top professional administrative organizations in the country.
With over 1,600 members, membership is open to all educational administrators in
central office, building management and educational
agency positions. WASA's strength is determined by its
membership.
There are four membership types:
Active
Members
Those currently serving as full or part-time school administrators. Dues
are based on three-quarters of one percent of the
previous year's salary. Active WASA members receive all
association services including voting privileges.
Eligible active members may call WASA to determine the
cost of their membership.
Associate Members

Higher education faculty, out-of-state administrators and
employees of professional associations. Dues are $175 per year.
Associate members receive WASA publications and may
attend conferences and workshops at the member rate.
Associate members have no voting privileges.
Retire/Rehire Members

Retirees who rehire to full or part-time service
receive all benefits including voting privileges. Dues are
calculated at three-quarters of one percent of the current year's
salary.
Retired/Life Members

Retirees with previous service in Washington state. Dues
are a one-time fee of $125 for a life membership. Life
members receive WASA publications and may attend WASA
conferences and workshops at no charge (except meals).
The Association encourages eligible individuals to take
advantage of this opportunity to network with others and
stay involved in educational issues. Retired/Life members
have no voting privileges.
Student/Intern
Members

Those preparing for administrative careers. Dues are $70
per year. Student/Intern members receive WASA
publications and may attend WASA events at a cost of one half the
registration fee. Student/Intern
members have no voting privileges.
