CANCELLED: Conference and Day on the Hill

We received notice from South Puget Sound Community College that their campus will be closed this weekend due to the expected winter storm. All weekend activities, including our conference, are cancelled.

Although we have been working to find alternative solutions, due to predicted winter storm conditions, we are acting out of an abundance of caution and concern for our attendees, presenters, and staff and have made the tough decision to cancel the 2019 WASA/WSSDA/WASBO Legislative Conference and Day on the Hill.

Unfortunately, given the nature of this conference and its ties to the Legislative Session calendar, this conference will not be rescheduled. However, WASA, WSSDA, and WASBO are working to determine options to provide critical information scheduled to be provided in the conference, and/or Day on the Hill activities. You can expect follow-up communication from us shortly.

WASA will work as quickly as possible to cancel all registrations and process full refunds.

WSSDA will contact Legislators to cancel the Monday Day on the Hill meetings scheduled by WSSDA. If your district made other appointment(s), please make contact as soon as possible to cancel/reschedule your appointment(s).

Although we will be working with Hotel RL to notify them of our room block cancellation, please be sure to cancel your housing reservation directly with your hotel right away.

Please know WASA, WSSDA, and WASBO have taken all factors into consideration in coming to this monumental decision. We apologize for any inconvenience or hardship this cancellation creates.

Be safe!

On behalf of WASA, WSSDA, and WASBO,
