Exploring the Superintendency: A Leadership Seminar Series is Designed for Current School and District Leaders Who Are Considering the Superintendency and Want a Deeper Understanding of the Role Before Pursuing Formal Certification

ABOUT

This five-session seminar series offers facilitated discussions, case studies, and reflection that examine the realities of district-level leadership. Each session includes embedded transition work focused on the personal and professional shifts required to move from site or departmental leadership into system-level executive leadership. 

Whether you are an aspiring Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, or experienced leader exploring your next step, this series will help you gain clarity on the role and on your own readiness to pursue it. 


WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

By the end of the series, participants will: 

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the superintendent's role as a systems leader responsible for governance, organizational coherence, communication, strategy, and operational leadership. 
  • Examine the leadership shifts required to move from school or departmental leadership into executive district leadership. 
  • Understand the key structures, relationships, and responsibilities that shape the superintendency. 
  • Reflect on their own leadership readiness, interests, and goals to make informed decisions about future leadership pathways. 

COMMITMENT

  • Registration fee of $149
  • Attend five monthly one-hour Zoom sessions 
  • Engage in facilitated discussion, case studies, and reflection 
  • Complete embedded transition work between sessions 

REGISTRATION

The registration fee of $149 per person includes all five one-hour Zoom sessions and five Washington State approved clock hours. 

Within 24 hours of registering, you will receive a Zoom confirmation for each session, five in total. Follow the link in each confirmation to save the meetings to your calendar. Only one device/person will be admitted per email, so please do not share your Zoom link.

A $100 administrative fee applies to all cancellations. No refund for cancellations received after August 15.
